About
Hello readers!
In this blog, I review education and YA (young adult) books, write about education websites, and generally reflect on teaching practices, specifically for grades 6-12 with an emphasis on the humanities and teaching English to speakers of other languages. This blog is rather specific in that it is primarily a resource for me that focuses on the subjects I’m endorsed to teach.
I’ve taken the pseudonym Anxious Educator because I have an anxiety disorder. To help put my mind at ease about teaching, I gather resources from all sorts of places and then dump it into this blog so everything is organized in one location. Even though this blog is a resource for me, I want it to be useful to lots of other people, and I invite you to like, comment, and follow my blog so that we may share our knowledge and opinions.
I started this blog before even beginning my student teaching. Now I am a middle school language arts and AVID teacher.
Edit: This blog is still active although I no longer post. Feel free to comment; I’ll see everything and respond. Thanks for stopping by!
